Giles High School Outreach

High School Outreach Pipeline Program Tours at VCOM – Virginia are offered to all high schools in Southwest Virginia and are designed to expose adolescents to a multitude of healthcare professions. The program is comprised of three interactive modules: Anatomy Lab; Simulation Center; and a Didactic on what students need and where they can attend higher education programs.

Health Sciences Fair

High School Student Outreach

Workshops hosted by healthcare professionals to high school students to gain a medical “real-life” experience with an array of medical workers. 

Summer Enrichment Experience

“SEE” Camp, a STEM retreat at VCOM, is designed to promote science and medicine in rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors from Southwest Virginia high schools. This week-long program introduces campers to human anatomy and physiology as well as a variety of healthcare professions through modules and learning workshops. Summer 2020 to be held virtually.
